Have you ever wondered what the soundtrack to Final Fantasy 7 would of sounded like if it had come out on the Sega Megadrive ? ...

Well - at City Guys Inc. they wondered so much they had to find out !

Coinciding with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake (pretty much the most anticipated videogame release of all time!) , this 10 track mini-album is a reimagining of Nobuo Uematsu's nostalgia filled music , for a whole generation of people who grew up fighting Shinra and Sephiroth with Cloud and his crew ! You know if you were an FF7 kid , and if you were - THIS ONES FOR YOU YO !

(if you weren't , we do hope you enjoy the tunes , and deffo check out the original game and music :) )

There is noise , there are clicks and pops , but most of these sounds were recorded direct from a Megadrive in the studio - warts n'all , for that legit early 90's console sound !

Tich from City Guys says : "This is a tribute to my all time favourite bit of media ever published - Final Fantasy 7 "

This is a PAY WHAT YOU WANT release , so FREE if you want ,
As always , any donations would be appreciated :)

released April 10, 2020

Big respect to :
Kushina for the fantastic pixel artwork !

Catskull Electronics / LittleScale , for designing and making the genMDM interface - making it possible to play the Megadrive as an instrument !

AND - of course ..

Nobuo Uematsu , the MASSIVE G who wrote the original music for Final Fantasy 7
